What information do we collect and how do we use it?

When you purchase a product from us

We will collect only the information we require to fulfill your order and use it only for that purpose. As you will enter into a contract with us when you make your purchase this contract is the legal basis by which we process any personal data provided to us in relation to your order.

When you use our websites

By default we do not collect any personal information from you when you simply browse our websites, for this reason no legal basis is required when you do this.

In the event that you decide to contact us, to request a service or to sign up for something on our website we will only collect the information you provide at that point and we will also ask for your consent to fulfil your request. The information you provide us will only be used to deliver the service that you requested. Our legal basis in this instance is the consent you have given, and you can remove this consent at any time by contacting us.

How long do we keep your data?

16B Cycle retains personal data in line with our legal requirements and contractual arrangements therefore retention times can vary. When we no longer have a legal basis or contractual need to keep your data we will delete it.

As described above, in the event that you have given us consent to hold your data, e.g. so that we can provide you with information on our products, services or events you can contact us to remove this consent.

Who do we share your data with?

We will only share personal data with trusted third parties in order to deliver the products and services requested by our customers. This is limited to:

  • Delivery companies
  • Maintenance/Service companies
  • Payment processing services

Our websites often contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of third party websites.

In addition to the above, we may disclose information about you:

  • in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk); and

  • The right to access, correct or delete your data or to receive it electronically
  • The right to object to the way in which we are using your personal data or to stop us processing it
  • The right to withdraw consent if you have previously given it to us
